Unfortunately the drinks are not free, however that doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the best club nights Sheffield has to offer!
The Leadmill in Sheffield invited me along to their freshers event last Sunday. For those who don’t know, or who can’t guess from the name, it is an eighties themed night. This includes funky shirts, inflatables and everything tropical themed!
I began the night by hosting pre drinks at my flat along with my house mate Cheska. We went all out! We got inflatables, sandcastles etc. Just to get us in the mood for the night ahead. We even made our own punch, with flavoured vodka, pineapple juice, cranberry juice and white rum.
We were on guest list so managed to go straight in, excited by what we could hear inside. As we walked in the familiar sound of Don’t you want me by the Human League was blaring as people danced away! First stop however, was the bar (shouldn’t it always be?). Make sure to get yourself a Leadmill card as it saves you loads of money throughout the night – although drinks are rather cheap anyway.
I had an amazing night and it was such a laugh to see everyone in their 80’s themed clothes and dancing along to some classic anthems.
A massive thank you to Leadmill for the invite and the amazing night. I will definitely be returning for the next one! (October 18th) – link to tickets available here.
Until next time,
